Fort Campbell Trout Hunt
Went fishing in cav country on Fort Campbell, hit a small pond and caught a 2 1/2 pound largemouth on pumpkin colored chatter bait. After that i hit the creek for about 4 hours, nailed small brook trout all day on Rooster Tails and Beetle spins. Also caught the most beautiful sunfish I've ever seen in my life . Had to hike back a ways in the woods to find a good hole. I think the hole was spring fed, pretty deep also. Started out under the old bridge by East End Road and worked my way north up the creek, beautiful back in there, lots of deer also . Not very big, but theses little guys fight 'till the end, lots of fun.
