diddy pole fishing in Louisiana

I use bank poles or diddy poles in Indiana. I am getting ready to take a trip to Louisiana and was wondering if they are legal there. I will be south of New Orleans in the bayou fishing brackish waters. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know if they are legal in New Orleans, but I'm pretty sure they aren't legal in NJ. Either email or call New Orleans fish & game for the official answer.
